Annual Picnic September 6, 2008 Print

We will meet at the park pavilion at 1 pm on Saturday, September 6th. The HOA will provide
meat, buns, condiments, drinks, paper plates and plastic eating utensils. We ask that everyone
bring a side dish such as salad, dessert etc, with a serving utensil. Our seating is limited
so we would also suggest you bring your own chairs.

Our annual business meeting will follow the picnic. We are always interested in your concerns and/or
suggestions to make the area a more pleasant environment in which to live. Please plan to attend and bring
neighbors who are new to the area. Former residents are always welcome…the more the merrier.

Bear sightings - July 2008 Print

Recent bear sightings

We have at least two different bears in the neighborhood. Click here to see the pictures. One has a tan muzzle, the larger bear does not.  They are getting into garages that are left open and ripping into bird feeders.

--Rose on Sandstone

[It would be good to let people know that
if we keep garage doors shut and bird feeders up,
maybe the bears will go away. ]

Spat between resident and HOA spirals out of control Print

{Editorial note by web admin: Although this news story is not about your RRRHOA, it's a reminder that community covenants are binding on those who choose to purchase homes in the respective covenant -restricted area. The covenants are normally drafted by homeowners to protect their own investments and lifestyles. They can be amended with the proper support of the homeowners. Those who serve on a HOA's board are typically volunteers who own homes within the boundaries of the HOA.  Their job is not to "bully" homeowners but simply enforce the covenants the community has agreed to (originally) or to which homeowners have agreed by moving in to the area. Your HOA does not require dues but asks for voluntary donations to support the projects overseen by the board and financial obligations that arise.
