Due to the financial constraints from the current lawsuit
the Board is sending out a postcard notice for the Annual
Member meeting.

Board Elections: There will be Board Member Elections
for 2026 to 2030 term at the member meeting on April
13. The Board will need proxies to assure a quorum at
the meeting. Beth Lonnquist, Bill Griffith and Kevin Guy
have all agreed to run for another term.

Firewise: Sign-up early for Firewise. Monument Fire is
helping the HOA with this effort and as of now, and
there will only be a few days early in the year.

Lawsuit:
The Lawsuit Trial date is April 20-23.

The insurance company declined to insure this issue and
help pay for the defense of the lawsuit, as they deemed
it to be a pre-existing issue (2010), Mr. Pryor was not a
member in 2010 and American Family was not the
insurance company of record in 2010.

Donations: Because the insurance failed to provide
coverage, the HOA has been required to defend itself
with what funds we had. For the first time since 2012
the HOA had a reserve fund in 2025. Sadly, that has
been depleted, along with most of the operational HOA
funds.
In light of this situation, we will need donations
to support legal representation at the trial. This is why
the HOA requested a special assessment, but that did
not pass. Funds are still required to support the HOA
defense effort.
Please donate so the HOA can prevail. At this time the
judge has not issued a ruling on the summary judgement
request. Protect your property’s value and donate to
defend the Covenants.

Covenant issues:
There will be changes if the

Covenants do not remain in place. The area may have
short term rentals where you won’t know your
neighbors, horse property, and other changes. Please
read the newsletter posed on the website for more
information
